How to Decorate Your Wedding Venue in Style
Following on from Part 1 of our Enchanted Spring Wedding Inspiration series, I wanted to share our tips to help you decorate your wedding venue in style!
When booking a wedding venue you want to make sure you can bring your own style to your day, which is why Applewood Hall works so well. With ivory drapes, neutral, earthy toned carpet and lime-washed chivari chairs, we’re all set to capture any theme, style or colour pallet, so don’t be afraid to use your imagination.
Whether it’s country chic, boho, botanical or something unique like our enchanted woodland theme, there are a few key areas that are always worth considering;
INTERIOR STYLING
Start by picturing how you’d like to arrange the space – what’s your ideal table layout, where are the toilets, what about the bar, do you need room for a photo booth? Luckily, there’s loads of room to play with here at Applewood Hall.
Aside from the familiar details of floral arrangements, table decor, lighting (we love extra fairy lights for added romance!), have you considered creating a chill-out area?
We thought we’d give it a go. Array Wedding & Event Hire gave us a helping hand with some of their beautiful vintage furniture and props. We fell in love with their hanging egg chair!
Not only does this space provide the perfect sit-down spot for later in the evening when you just need to kick off your heels, but it can also double up as a unique photo backdrop. And if you’ve got some older guests, they might also enjoy a comfier seat whilst still being able to watch the evening celebrations from a quieter corner.
OUTDOOR SPACE
So you’ve decided how to style the interior of your wedding venue, but what about the outside? If you want to enjoy photos and alfresco drinks in the sunshine, don’t forget the outside space of your chosen venue. Whether it’s a formal manicured garden, a wild flower meadow or a tree-dappled orchard, you can put your spin on this too.
Here at Applewood Hall, we have a lush garden complete with festoon lighting, fire pit tables, and a decorative gazebo. The garden is also completely enclosed so it’s child-friendly and provides plenty of lawn space for activities and garden games to keep the little ones (and big ones!) entertained.
But you don’t need to be confined to our garden! There are lots of unique photo spots to explore. From our tree-lined drive and cherry blossom trees which are so pretty in the spring, to our big meadow which doesn’t just have to be for camping.
We thought we’d have a play around to show you how easy it is to get some beautiful photos using just a few key props. So, we took advantage of the good weather to sneak some of Array’s stunning furniture outside – it worked a treat!
We know you’ll have an incredible time styling your wedding venue so that it’s just how you want it. Just remember that as long as it’s true to you, you’re guaranteed to love it!
